In the exciting world of content creation, I'm setting out to build a business model that fits my lifestyle, brings good money, and doesn't make me feel burnt out.

The content I'm focusing on includes User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Entrepreneurship, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). I have the tools to keep track of how well my content is doing and a great chance to make videos for social media. What I need now is a solid plan. That's where the AI tool, ChatGPT, comes in.
The Plan
Creating a good content strategy involves several important steps. I'll talk about each one in detail in future blog posts. Here's a quick look at what's coming up:
- Understand Your Audience
- Set Content Goals
- Brainstorm Content Ideas
- Create a Content Calendar
- Produce the Content
- Optimize and Publish
- Promote Your Content
- Analyze and Adjust
To keep things simple, let's start with the first step: understanding your audience.
Step 1: Understand Your Audience
Getting to know your audience is key to creating content that they'll love. Let's take a closer look at audience personas, do some audience research, and figure out what kind of content they prefer.
Audience Personas
First, let's introduce Entrepreneur Eddie and Marketing Michelle.

Entrepreneur Eddie
- Demographics: A 35-year-old tech startup founder from San Francisco.
- Interests: Growing his business, using AI in his products, finding useful SEO strategies, and making his website's UX/UI better.
- Online behavior: Checks LinkedIn and Twitter for news about his industry and enjoys reading blogs and listening to podcasts about tech and entrepreneurship.

Marketing Michelle
- Demographics: A 30-year-old digital marketing manager from New York City who works for a medium-sized company.
- Interests: New ideas for improving website UX/UI, staying on top of SEO trends, and exploring how AI can help with marketing.
- Online behavior: Takes part in industry forums and LinkedIn groups and follows expert blogs on SEO, UX/UI, and AI.
Research
Next, let's talk about the research part.
I used SEMrush to explore topics and questions my intended audience might care about. Search volume and difficulty estimates can suggest research opportunities, but they do not establish relevance or guarantee visibility. I still needed to assess the actual search results and whether I had useful experience to contribute.
I also considered Wix for publishing and managing metadata, page URLs and structured data. Those settings support a website’s technical setup; the platform itself does not guarantee search rankings.
By doing good research and using the right tools, I can create content that meets my audience's needs and stands out in search results. That's the power of a good content strategy.
Content Preferences
Based on what my audience is interested in, they might prefer:
- In-depth blog posts and articles about SEO techniques, UX/UI best practices, AI trends, and advice for entrepreneurs.
- Tutorial or explainer videos on how to make UX/UI design better, how to optimize for SEO, or how to use AI in business.
- Webinars or podcasts where experts talk about advanced topics in SEO, UX/UI, AI, and entrepreneurship.
By understanding your audience this well, you'll be ready to create content that they need and want. This makes it more likely that your content will get read, shared, and acted on.

Wrapping Up
Understanding your audience is a key part of a successful content strategy. By figuring out who your audience is, doing research, and learning what kind of content they like, you'll be ready to create content that makes an impact.
Now that we've covered the first step, I'm excited to move on to the next part of the content creation process in my next post - setting clear content goals.
