Managed Websites

These are the standard terms for Tortoise & Hare Studio's $100-per-month Managed Websites service. Any exception requires a separately approved scope.

Price and billing

• The service costs $100 per month with no setup fee.
• The first payment is due after you decide to begin and before kickoff.
• Billing continues month to month.
• Cancel before the next renewal to prevent another monthly charge.
• No prorated refund is available after a monthly term begins.

The standard website

• Up to five informational pages, normally Home, About, Services, Proof or FAQ, and Contact.
• Light visual direction, including color, typography, and refinement of an existing logo or creation of a simple wordmark.
• Initial website copy.
• Two structured review rounds before launch.
• A target launch about 30 days after all required content, access, and approvals are complete.

What continues after launch

• Managed hosting while the subscription is active.
• Standard analytics and Google Search Console setup.
• One consolidated update batch for up to 60 minutes each month. Unused time does not roll over.
• One 30-minute analytics and strategy call each quarter.

Third-party services

You pay providers directly for your domain, email, booking, ecommerce, and other third-party tools. Those subscription costs are not included in the $100 monthly fee.

Ownership and cancellation

• You own your domain, the materials you supply, the final approved copy, and delivered brand assets.
• Tortoise & Hare retains the implementation and template while the subscription is active.
• After cancellation, the website remains active through the paid period.
• At the end of the paid period, the website is archived unless you accept a separately quoted buyout.

Work outside the standard package

The standard package excludes ecommerce, memberships, custom applications, complex booking systems, larger custom builds, and unlimited revisions. Links to an external booking service are allowed. Work outside this package requires a separate scope, timeline, and price.

Inquiries and starting work

Sending an inquiry does not commit you to the service or start billing. Tortoise & Hare responds within two business days. Checkout, proposal acceptance, buyout calculations, and onboarding are handled manually after the conversation.

Results

The service does not guarantee search rankings, traffic, leads, revenue, or a specific launch date before the required materials and approvals are complete.
