A review widget displays customer feedback from your Google Business Profile on your website. It can help visitors evaluate your business without leaving the page. Installing a widget does not by itself establish that your website will rank higher in Google.
Choose a widget and check its requirements
Elfsight is one option used in the original version of this guide. Before choosing a provider, check its current Wix installation instructions, pricing, view limits, branding, review refresh schedule, and support. Do not assume a free plan includes every feature or unlimited traffic.
Connect the widget to the correct business profile and choose a layout that works in the space available. Keep review text readable, identify its source, and provide a way to see the original reviews. Avoid presenting a selectively filtered display as the complete customer record.
Add the embed in Wix
Copy the code supplied by your widget provider. In Wix Editor, add an HTML embed through the Add Elements panel’s Embed Code options, enter the snippet, and apply it. Follow the provider’s Wix-specific instructions if they require a different installation method.
Wix HTML embeds use an iframe. Check its width and height on desktop and mobile so reviews are not cropped. Preview the page, check the links and controls, then publish only when you are ready. Review the live page as well: a successful preview does not prove that a third-party service will work in every visitor’s browser.
Invite honest reviews
Invite customers to describe their actual experience. Do not offer discounts, gifts, payments, or other incentives, and do not request reviews only from satisfied customers. Google’s policy also prohibits incentives for changing or removing a negative review.
Check the result over time
If the widget disappears, check the embed code, provider account, usage limits, and iframe dimensions. If reviews seem old, check the provider’s refresh behavior. Measure enquiries separately from widget views; displaying reviews is not a conversion guarantee.
