Wix, Wix Studio, and Webflow can support a professional website. The useful comparison is how each fits the site you need to build and the people who will maintain it. A platform’s feature list alone does not decide the quality of the result.
Wix Editor and Wix Studio are different editors
Wix Studio is Wix’s professional creation platform, with more advanced responsive-design and collaboration tools than Wix Editor. Studio provides breakpoint controls for adapting layouts to different screen sizes. An existing Wix Editor project should not be assumed to become a Studio project simply by changing a setting.
The older Wix ADI product was retired on November 10, 2024. It is not an option for a new site; existing ADI projects now open in Wix Editor. Evaluate the current tools rather than following an older ADI comparison.
Compare the actual design workflow
My preference depends on the project and the person editing it. Test a representative page with your real content: long headings, a navigation menu, images, a form, and any unusual layout. Resize it and check whether the design still works. Templates are starting points, so assess their structure and editing requirements rather than judging the platform solely by a template gallery.
Model your content before choosing the CMS
Webflow organizes structured content into Collections, each with a schema and a template for its item pages. List the content types, relationships, filters, and page layouts your project needs before comparing implementations. Try the editing workflow with the person who will maintain the site.
Check current collection limits, references, dynamic-page behavior, and permissions in the proposed plan. Avoid choosing a CMS on the assumption that a feature in one editor or subscription is available everywhere.
Test integrations and embeds
Make a list of required forms, booking tools, payments, membership features, analytics, and third-party widgets. Confirm their compatibility and additional costs. An embed may be a separate iframe, and editor previews do not establish that every external service will work on the published site.
SEO and performance depend on implementation
Review titles, descriptions, canonical URLs, redirects, sitemaps, internal links, and image delivery on the actual build. No builder guarantees rankings. Compare representative published previews with the same content and test conditions; a general platform preference is not a performance measurement.
Choose for ownership and ongoing work
Include subscriptions, content entry, training, maintenance, and migration in the comparison. Agree on account ownership and handoff before starting. The right choice should fit both the initial build and the routine work after launch.
